The Sun King Boom Gen 2 combines solar lighting, music, radio and phone charging in one compact portable system. Designed for homes, small businesses and off-grid applications, it provides useful everyday functions without depending on grid electricity.

Its integrated LED lamp offers three brightness levels. Turbo mode delivers up to 250 lumens for approximately 7 hours, Normal mode provides 120 lumens for approximately 15 hours, while Low mode provides 35 lumens for up to 50 hours.

Energy is stored in a 14.7Wh (3.2V, 4.6Ah) Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. The LFP battery supports extended lighting, entertainment and mobile-phone charging while providing the durability required for regular use.

Charging is handled by the included 5.2Wp monocrystalline solar panel, which has a rated operating voltage of 5.9V and comes with a 5-metre cable. This allows the solar panel to be positioned outdoors in sunlight while the Boom Gen 2 unit remains conveniently positioned where it is needed.

For entertainment, Boom Gen 2 features Bluetooth 5.4, allowing compatible smartphones, tablets and laptops to stream audio wirelessly through its built-in speaker. The speaker provides 3.5W typical output and up to 5W maximum output.

The integrated FM radio covers 87.5–108MHz and uses a built-in antenna, providing access to available FM broadcasts without requiring a connected smartphone.

Boom Gen 2 also supports offline digital music. Audio files can be played from a USB flash drive or TF memory card up to 128GB, with support for MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA and APE audio formats.

An integrated USB-A 5V/1A output allows compatible mobile phones to be charged directly from the system. Intelligent battery management automatically disables phone charging when the battery becomes low, preserving sufficient energy to provide approximately 5 additional hours of backup lighting in low-power mode.

The complete system is housed in a rugged ABS and polycarbonate enclosure with an integrated carrying handle, making it convenient for use around the home, shop or outdoors.
